We are seeking a Business Intelligence Data Analyst with substantial experience in driving financial outcomes through comprehensive data analysis and visualization. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of proven experience in private equity or consulting, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across various business units including sales, data science, and our large clinical network.
This role involves leveraging your advanced analytical skills to provide insightful financial analysis and reporting directly to the finance department, crucial for strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. You will have the unique opportunity to shape Business Intelligence as a discipline at Talkspace, working closely with and leveraging insights from a tenured Data Science team. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance, ensuring strategic alignment and leadership visibility.
About This Role
- Data Visualization and Financial Reporting:
- Develop and refine data visualizations that clearly communicate financial trends and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Create automated financial reports and dashboards using Looker and other tools.
- Deeply understand and forecast medical claims and the dynamics of payor businesses within the healthcare sector.
- Quantitative Analysis:
- Conduct thorough quantitative analyses to support financial and operational strategies.
- Utilize your expertise in SQL and Python to manage financial data effectively.
- Strategic Insights:
- Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights supporting product development, provider network operations, commercial strategy, marketing, and partnership initiatives/decisions.
- Navigate the intricacies of a multi-sided marketplace, within a healthcare context, understanding different stakeholder needs and market drivers.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to transform complex data insights into understandable and actionable financial strategies.
- Work closely with a seasoned Data Science team to leverage advanced analytics in shaping business intelligence strategies.
- Create and present easily digestible and actionable recommendations to senior leadership through live meetings, comprehensive slide decks, and dynamic dashboards, influencing key decision-making processes.
About You
- 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence role with a strong finance focus, or at least 2-3 in private equity, venture capital, or top tier consulting (e.g., MBB, LEK, Parthenon-EY).
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. An MBA is advantageous.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and Excel/Google Sheets. Advanced skills in data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex financial data and generate meaningful business insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data stories to diverse audiences.

Compensation
At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.
The base salary range for this role is between $115,000 and $140,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
