Description

The Players’ Tribune powered by Minute Media is looking for a Production Manager to join our Production Operations team. This person will work directly with the Editorial Content Team and help with the day to day logistics, financials, and overall operations across various components of all video content production. Additionally, when working with numerous teams at Minute Media, our Production Manager will be responsible for carrying out communication between internal and external parties, to ensure that all video content production is running smoothly, efficiently, on time, and on budget.

  • Lead logistics across a variety of video series, focusing primarily on sponsored and editorial shows but also liaising with teams on branded campaigns as needed
  • Coordinate all aspects of video content production including but not limited to - risk analysis and coordination with our legal team for all paperwork and contracts pertaining to a production, the booking of locations, crews, equipment, catering/crafty, props, etc.
  • Assist the team with consistent tracking of actual spends across campaigns and revising estimated final costs accordingly
  • Assist in the payment creation for purchase orders, and the reconciliation of company credit cards for all content captures in a timely manner
  • Create production estimates for productions in pre-development, ensuring that the estimate fits within target margin
  • Upon the start of a campaign or series, create a detailed budget in Movie Magic budgeting software
  • Help the Production Operations team maintain an internal software database containing data from various points of production, including closing out budgets
  • Work with the Head of Content and other leads to keep processes and workflows between production management, operations, legal, accounting and finance teams running efficiently

The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $85,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location. The benefits available for this position include flexible vacation policy, 15 paid holidays, paid parental leave, health insurance, 401(k) with company match.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a production management or similar operational role, preferably in digital media, TV, and/or film
  • Must be an organized, quick learner, and have the ability to handle multiple projects at a time, especially when your projects are in various stages of production
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep calm under pressure
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have great communication skills when speaking with both Minute Media internal and Minute Media external parties
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiar with various software for tracking and budgeting such as Movie Magic, and willing to learn new software specific to TPT
  • Familiar with production equipment, cinema cameras, lighting, sound, post-production, and other elements needed to successfully complete production
