Description

Minute Media is a leading global sports content and technology company. Our proprietary tech platform enables the creation, distribution and monetization of digital content experiences across our portfolio, including our O&O content brands -Sports Illustrated, The Players' Tribune, 90min, FanSided and Mental Floss – and our publishing partners.

The Yield & Revenue Strategy team is looking to hire a Yield Analyst, to help optimise revenue and performance across the Minute Media portfolio, focusing on both the O&O network and the key partner revenue streams of Advertisers, Content and Publishers.

The ideal candidate will be a London-based, logical and accountable professional with relevant experience of providing operational insights and actionable optimisations in a digital media landscape.

What you'll do

  • Help set-up and analyse video player configurations – including the Ad scheduling, layout behaviour, monetisation and content distribution.
  • Help determine optimal ad stack and ad unit structuring for all Minute Media O&O properties.
  • Provide intelligent analysis and insight into revenue, supply and demand patterns and provide yield-maximisation suggestions to be verified and to investigate utilising the various A/B tools at our disposal
  • Ensure that video content distribution is optimised both in terms of content costs, margin efficiency and advertiser revenues but also in terms of user experience and brand impact.
  • Work closely with the Campaign Operations team on the management of advertising campaigns and help to craft supply allocation plans for key campaigns.
  • Provide insight and guidance to the MM+ team to help maximise revenue and performance across all third-party publisher inventory.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues across the business that could be leading to margin and revenue loss.
  • Understand the operational functionality of the various proprietary Minute Media Ad-Tech tools that are utilised across the portfolio (Video Player, VMS, Display Injection and Ad Server), and the options that these tools provide to affect the revenues and margin of the various business units.
  • Work closely with the Ad Tech Product team to provide input into the refinement of existing products, and creation of new ones to help drive optimisation efforts
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to utilise their support on building out sophisticated reporting dashboards.

Requirements

What you have·

  • 3+ years’ experience of working in the digital media landscape, in some form of revenue operations role (AdOps, Revenue/Media Analyst, Optimisation etc)
  • Experience working at a publisher, agency, brand or tech platform is preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills – particularly the ability to clearly and succinctly present data-led insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables and perform v-lookups
  • Knowledge of Programmatic buying platforms such as the Trade Desk, Google DV360, and others is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, Looker or other web-based analytics tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in any quantitative or analytical related fields.
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with all of the relevant internal stakeholders across the business.
