We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our innovative AI company. In this role, you’ll support financial operations, manage bookkeeping, assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, and help ensure compliance. You’ll work closely with leadership to support scaling our accounting function as we grow, making an immediate impact in a dynamic tech environment. The ideal candidate is based in the Boston area and open to a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Responsible for accounts payable and expense reimbursements
• Assist the Accounting Manager with billings and collections
• Support annual audits and interact with external auditors as necessary
• Administer payroll across multiple platforms for different entities, ensuring accurate and timely processing each pay period.
• Support Accounting Manager with tax filings and inquiries as needed
• Assist with monthly financial reporting
• Assist in consolidation of financials from multiple entities (US, Israel, Germany)
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes
• Collaborate with the HR team on payroll and benefits matters
• Respond to team members inquiries in regards to payroll, expenses and invoices

The Ideal Candidate

• 2-5 years of accounting experience including experience with Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Month-End close. Experience in technology / SaaS and high-growth start-up is preferred, but not required
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to execute
• Attention to detail is a must. In this role, you need to be a “safe pair of hands” - you are able to meticulously keep records and associated reporting up to date and are proactive about escalating and following up on outstanding issues
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong communications skills
• Experience with Quickbooks Online, bill.com and Expensify is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
